Alex and Cheryl Fairly donated a historic gift to their Alma Mater, West Texas A&M University, the most significant family gift in the school's history, to establish The Hill Institute. Named after WT's longest-serving president, Joseph A. Hill, the institute will promote ten core values, including trust, hard work, and personal responsibility, reflecting the Texas Panhandle ethos.
The Hill Institute will support research and education on these values through faculty and student involvement. The Texas A&M University System Board of Regents officially approved it in February 2022.
